Welcome to the Open Door Baptist Church. We are a christian, bible teaching and believing church, daily empowered by the word of God. As pastor, it is my mission to introduce everyone that I can, to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As a leader, I am committed to service and helping others to find their gifts, so that they too can serve the Lord. One of my most favorite sayings is, membership, with the body of Christ, has it's privileges. However, I will always be honest in letting you know that walking with God is never easy, but it is truly worth it. For it is our belief that Christ died for us, to ultimately receive a wonderful blessing and our belief in Him, guarantees us a place in heaven.

November's Message from Rev. Dr. Bernard M. Taylor
GREETINGS,
This month we are being reminded that the year is about to end and very soon we will be at the start of a brand New Year!
I want to congratulate the women of Open Door for a very successful Women’s Day celebration. The event was very inspirational and each activity leading up to the final event was also celebrated and allowed the climax to be even more exciting. Blessings to all of those who participated in this ministry and contributed to the events.
We also experienced a very successful Community Day outreach this year. Members of the community were able to eat, enjoy the music and many children received free new coats and school supplies. Other services that were provided included immunization shots, free dental exams, health screenings, CPR training, and legal aid assistance. Again, my thanks to all who helped make this event a success.
Next up we will have our Prayer Breakfast, Men’s Ministry Health Fair, Men’s Day, the Church Anniversary Celebration and Memorial Service.
We have had a very busy year and we are winding down the ministry calendar for this year but we are not done yet!
We need to have all hands on deck for the meal package event November 20 and 21. Along with several other churches, we will attempt to package 150,000 thousand meals for Kids Against Hunger. These meals will serve many needy persons around the world who are struggling for survival.
Remember what the Lord says:
Matthew 25:40 (KJV)
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
We should do this for two reasons:
First, Christ has commanded his church to do it and our love for Him compels us to obey!
Second, because WE CAN!!!
