Welcome to the Open Door Baptist Church. We are a christian, bible teaching and believing church, daily empowered by the word of God. As pastor, it is my mission to introduce everyone that I can, to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As a leader, I am committed to service and helping others to find their gifts, so that they too can serve the Lord. One of my most favorite sayings is, membership, with the body of Christ, has it's privileges. However, I will always be honest in letting you know that walking with God is never easy, but it is truly worth it. For it is our belief that Christ died for us, to ultimately receive a wonderful blessing and our belief in Him, guarantees us a place in heaven.

January's Message from Rev. Dr. Bernard M. Taylor
Greetings,
As we begin to close out 2025 and welcome in a brand-new year full of hope and promise, we pause
to reflect on the events that have touched and shaped our lives. Our thoughts are not just from this
year, we also remember both the joys and sorrows of different times.
As I reflect on the events that have shaped our lives, many wonderful memories come to mind.
Because we have been blessed to be among those who have survived to see this day, we must thank
God for all that He has provided.
Along with the joys of being alive during this present time we have had to face many challenges and
the troubles that we experience everyday reveal that there are more to come. We remember what our
Lord said:
John 16:33 (KJV)
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have
tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
But by God's grace, we have done more than just survive, we are managing to thrive!! And we aren't
thriving because we are better or more deserving, it is because The Lord has been just that good and
the goodness He possesses has been deposited in our lives! This is not only something to shout about,
it is something to always remember!
I want to give a special thanks to the Anniversary Committee for the hard work they put in and how
we were able to establish a memorial that will continue to remember those who have participated in
this journey.
Please pray for our Mission Team 2026 and all of our partners in this great work. Pray that this next
year will be our best year, bringing honor, praise and glory to His Name!!!
And finally, I ask that you pray for my continued health and my desire to serve!
