Welcome to the Open Door Baptist Church. We are a christian, bible teaching and believing church, daily empowered by the word of God. As pastor, it is my mission to introduce everyone that I can, to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As a leader, I am committed to service and helping others to find their gifts, so that they too can serve the Lord. One of my most favorite sayings is, membership, with the body of Christ, has it's privileges. However, I will always be honest in letting you know that walking with God is never easy, but it is truly worth it. For it is our belief that Christ died for us, to ultimately receive a wonderful blessing and our belief in Him, guarantees us a place in heaven.

November’s Message from Rev. Dr. Bernard M. Taylor
Greetings,
This month we come to you expressing both the joys as well as the sorrows that often accompany this life.
We are on the heels of a wonderful and exciting Community Day celebration. I wish to thank all of those who participated to make this year's event a success. My appreciation goes out to the chairperson, Deaconess Tankard and all of the volunteers who assisted.
I also thank Sister Sharon Hall and the entire Women’s Day Committee for all of their work in planning and preparing for the celebration. It was very appropriate to recognize those women who have faithfully served as pioneers during our 50th Anniversary celebration!
And lastly, we lost one of our faithful members as she was suddenly taken from us to be with The Lord. After spending Sunday in worship, Sister Deborah Lyles went home and quietly transitioned into her eternal rest.
Our hearts are saddened as we remember her family and the families of others who have recently departed.
