Welcome to the Open Door Baptist Church. We are a christian, bible teaching and believing church, daily empowered by the word of God. As pastor, it is my mission to introduce everyone that I can, to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As a leader, I am committed to service and helping others to find their gifts, so that they too can serve the Lord. One of my most favorite sayings is, membership, with the body of Christ, has it's privileges. However, I will always be honest in letting you know that walking with God is never easy, but it is truly worth it. For it is our belief that Christ died for us, to ultimately receive a wonderful blessing and our belief in Him, guarantees us a place in heaven.

September's Message from Rev. Dr. Bernard M. Taylor
Greetings, My Fellow Sufferers,
I hope and trust that you have all had an opportunity to get some rest and enjoy a much-
needed break as we wind down from the lazy days of summer.
There are a number of things going on in the world that make this a very anxious time. It
is necessary for us to remember that we have been promised by our Savior that, in the
end, everything will be alright!
A WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT:
John 16:33 (KJV)
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall
have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
Never forget that our good Lord alone will have the last word!
CELEBRATING OUR SENIORS:
As I am writing this, we are anticipating our Senior Day Celebration.
I am always thankful to those who have put so much into making possible the things we
are able to do. We are truly blessed to have experienced so much love, wisdom, support,
and wonderful examples of faith throughout this journey.
LOOKING AHEAD:
This month, we have a number of significant events scheduled. At the top of the list are:
Heritage Day Celebration
Church Anniversary Celebration
Friends and Family Day
Please plan to come out and make these events memorable opportunities to celebrate,
share and serve simply by your presence.
KEEPING OUR NATION IN PRAYER:
Let us continue to pray for our nation and for all government workers and public officials,
including our national and local politicians. The Lord is “ABLE.”
REMEMBERING OUR MISSION PARTNERS:
Finally, please keep our mission partners in your prayers, as well as those who are
continually forced to carry more than their share of the burdens until the Lord returns.
Keep me lifted in your prayers also, as I endeavor to pray for you!
